Step by step

  1. Choose New document in Documents.
  2. Give it a title, choose a folder and add comma-separated tags if useful.
  3. Write the contents. On phones, use Write and Preview to switch views; larger screens show the editor and preview together.
  4. Choose Create document for a new note or Save changes for an existing one. Wait for the saved confirmation before leaving.

Return to an existing document

Open it in the library and choose Open editor when it is editable. An uploaded file that is not editable offers Edit details instead. Editing its details is different from rewriting the original uploaded file.

Keep discovery in mind

Use a recognizable title and relevant tags. The library can search titles, tags and document contents. Newly changed or uploaded content may need reading and indexing before all search views reflect it.

Check the result

The saved document should appear in the library. Editing the title or tags of an uploaded file does not rewrite its original contents.

Saving is an explicit step

Previewing or typing does not save your changes. After saving, return to Documents and open the file to check the saved text. If saving fails, keep the editor open and copy your unsaved text somewhere safe before refreshing. Check the displayed error and your editing access.

Labels use the English interface. Available pages and actions depend on your company, plan and permissions.
