Step by step

  1. Open Clients, select the client, choose Contacts, then click Add contact to add or link a person. Set their relationship role and save.
  2. Open a project, choose People, then Add contact when that person should also be connected to the project.
  3. In the project’s Milestones list, click a checkpoint to open its centered detail window.
  4. Use Edit details to write the brief. Set the responsible person, priority and dates in At a glance; these changes save when you change the control.
  5. Under Delivery checklist, type a step and click Add. Check steps as they are completed. Post updates under Conversation and attach supporting files.
  6. For the current checkpoint, use Mark milestone done, Mark stuck or Skip. To reorder the plan, close the window and drag a row’s dotted handle; with a keyboard, focus it, press Space, use arrow keys, then Enter.

Work a delivery milestone

  1. Open a client project card or the project page and click a milestone.
  2. Add comments, then drop files onto the document area (or click it to choose files).
  3. Mark the current step done, stuck or skipped when the work moves on.

Milestones are the delivery plan

The project Milestones plan holds delivery checkpoints, dates and progress. Daily actions belong in Tasks. Open a checkpoint from the project’s Milestones list. On mobile, expand Plan tools & filters to reach planning modes, templates and filters.

Check the result

In sequential mode, resolved checkpoints stay before open ones. In dependency mode, prerequisites determine readiness. A rejected reorder restores the saved order and explains why. Checklist completion alone does not mark the milestone done.

Prerequisites can change the next step

A sequential plan resolves checkpoints in order. A dependency plan allows independent work once its prerequisites are complete or skipped. Open Planning mode to inspect the mode. In a dependency plan, open a milestone and use Save prerequisites after selecting the checkpoints it depends on.

When a milestone cannot move forward

Check unresolved prerequisites and refresh the plan after an edit conflict. Skipping a checkpoint is a deliberate record of skipped work, not evidence it was delivered. Keep a comment explaining the decision.
