Step by step
- Open Clients from the navigation and click Add client. Enter a client name, email or domain in the dialog.
- Click Add client in the dialog. The new client record opens automatically.
- Click Client actions (the three dots), choose Edit client, and review the name, domains, email addresses and website. These details help link related work.
- Set the status, tags and notes your team needs, then click Save client.
- Use the client’s projects, contacts, emails, tasks and financial sections to inspect its connected records.
- If an email belongs elsewhere, open it in Inbox and use Organize to correct the client or project.
What belongs here
The client page brings together projects, relationship summaries, contacts, open tasks, emails, documents and financial records. Files uploaded from the client’s Documents section belong directly to the client rather than a specific project. Each project card shows delivery progress and its next milestone; open the project for the full plan.
If a conversation is linked incorrectly
Open the conversation in Inbox and correct its client and project under Organize. Check profile domains and email addresses too. Generated relationship summaries should be checked against their underlying records.
Check the result
The client should appear in the client list with its saved details. General client documents belong at client level; engagement-specific files belong to a project.
Permissions and a useful first check
You need client creation permission to add a relationship and client editing permission to change it. Search existing clients before adding another copy. After saving, reopen the client and confirm its name, email addresses and domains; an incorrect domain can make relationship context misleading.
When linked work is missing
Check the selected company, the client/project assignment on the original email or task, and your access to that resource. A client page is a collection of linked work, not a way to bypass a private mailbox or restricted finance page.
Labels use the English interface. Available pages and actions depend on your company, plan and permissions.
