Before you start
You need permission to send from an accessible mailbox with working sending configuration. Check Settings → Mailboxes if the intended address is unavailable. Unsent Inbox drafts are not saved across a page refresh. The editor warns before discarding changes, but this does not create a saved draft. Keep a separate copy of a long message before refreshing or leaving it.
Write and review the message
- Open Inbox → Compose, or open a conversation and choose Reply, Reply all or Forward.
- Check From, every recipient, the subject, and any Cc or Bcc addresses. Reply all can include people beyond the sender.
- Write your text and review the Footer. Use Add files to attach files and open a file card to check it. A forwarded message still needs a review of its recipients and attachments.
- If you use Rephrase, read the new text carefully. Correct dates, claims and commitments before sending.
- Click Send once and inspect the outgoing-mail panel. Its 30-second countdown means the message is queued, not sent.
Undo or confirm delivery
- During the countdown, choose Undo send if needed. Wait for Cancelled · not sent; clicking Undo alone is not confirmation.
- Choose Edit draft on a cancelled message to restore it and make corrections. Review the full message before sending again.
- If you allow sending to proceed, wait for Email sent. Closing the page or refreshing does not cancel a queued message. Undo is unavailable once sending starts.
- If the result is Check delivery, look in the provider mailbox’s Sent folder and check the recipient, subject and time before attempting another send. An uncertain result can mean the provider accepted the message even though confirmation was lost.
If sending fails
Read the displayed error. Correct SMTP settings or reconnect the provider if required, then open the failed message’s draft and review it before retrying. If the queue did not confirm the request, preserve the text still in the editor. Repeatedly clicking Send can complicate checking whether a message was delivered.
Lead outreach also uses the outgoing queue and Undo window. For a cancelled lead message, choose Open lead to return to its saved outreach draft; ordinary Inbox messages use Edit draft.
