Find the assistant
Open Sidekick in the sidebar. On mobile, tap Sidekick in the bottom navigation to open its full page. On desktop, you can also use the assistant panel while working elsewhere.
Step by step
- Open Sidekick in the sidebar, or tap Sidekick in the mobile bottom navigation.
- Start a conversation and describe a concrete task, including the client, project or date range when helpful.
- Answer any clarification form so the assistant has the context it needs.
- Read its answer and inspect linked or underlying records before relying on important details.
- For a proposed change, read the action description and choose Approve or Reject.
- If a batch offers Approve all, review the entire set first. Open the affected records after execution to check the result.
Ask about an image
- Tap Attach images beside the message box, then select a screenshot or photo. You can also paste an image or drop it onto the composer.
- Use PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF. Attach up to four images, at most 5 MB each and 12 MB altogether.
- Tap a thumbnail to inspect it, or its remove button to take it out. Add a question if helpful, then tap Send message.
- The images stay with the conversation. Tap a sent image to enlarge it. Anyone you share the chat with can see its images too.
Create something you can keep
- Ask for an image or a downloadable file in the conversation. Image generation depends on the configured provider, selected model and available AI allowance.
- Open the result in chat to review it. Use Download to keep a local copy, or Save to documents to add it to the company library.
- A generated file is not automatically in Documents just because it appears in the chat. Check that the save completes before relying on it being filed.
Read at your own pace
Steps and thinking details start closed when you open a conversation. Expand them when you want more detail. You can scroll up while a reply is arriving; tap Latest message to return to the bottom and follow the reply again.
Know what it can work with
Answers depend on available records, access and the company’s AI allowance. The assistant can make mistakes. If the action belongs to another person in a shared conversation, approval may require that person or a company owner/admin.
Check the result
A proposal awaiting approval is not an applied change. The assistant’s answer depends on records it can access and the company’s available AI allowance.
Approvals and automation have different scopes
Use the proposal’s Approve or Reject controls for interactive changes. An approval authorizes the displayed action, so check its targets and details. Separately enabled email analysis, synchronization and other background workflows can update records under their own settings without showing a proposal for every change. Review those settings where the workflow is configured.
Check the action, not just the reply
A proposed or queued change is not yet a completed change. Read the action result and open the affected task, document or other record to verify it. If a request fails, check whether any action already completed before repeating the request.
Labels use the English interface. Available pages and actions depend on your company, plan and permissions.
