GUIDE 01 / YOUR DAY

Start from yesterday.

The first visit of a company day already has yesterday in it. Read that before you open everything else, then pick one task you can actually do.

WHAT YOU’LL TAKE AWAY

A useful next step,
not another open tab.

  • Prepare the workspace
  • Example: North Studio
  • Read yesterday before the inbox
  • Come back to it without resetting anything
  • Leave with one task ready to start
  • Check the outcome
  • Avoid a common mistake

Prepare the workspace

Use a completed workspace and check the active company and its timezone. The recap only shows areas your role can access.

Example: North Studio

Maya runs the fictional North Studio. Her client is Willow Bakery, and the current project is Website refresh. Yesterday Maya finished the copy task; today she needs to review the client’s reply before starting design.

Read yesterday before the inbox

After the workspace’s opening day, the recap can appear on the first visit of a new company day. Open Daily recap from the menu if it has not appeared. The day follows the company timezone. You see completed tasks, sent and received email, booked transactions and the other sections your role can open.

It is a view of current records, not a stored accounting report. Counts can change if mail syncs later or someone reopens a task. Transaction totals use the booking date, leave out internal transfers, and keep each currency separate. Email uses the sent or received time, so importing an old thread does not turn it into yesterday.

Come back to it without resetting anything

  1. If you closed the recap, open Daily recap from the workspace menu. On a phone, open More first.
  2. Choose a summary tile to open that part of the app, or leave the recap and stay on the page you were using.
  3. Use Previous day and Next day to inspect other completed days. Reopening the recap does not add another day to your return streak. The streak counts consecutive calendar days you visit this workspace, on your account, across browsers. Missing a day starts it again. It does not change company data.

Leave with one task ready to start

On the dashboard, look at tasks and the agenda before you clear mail. The cards you see depend on your permissions.

Open Tasks. Move one item you can do today into your in-progress column. Leave blocked work in Waiting. Done is finished work. Cancelled is a separate status, so a stopped task does not look complete.

Check the outcome

Open the completed task from the recap, then check today’s actual task and calendar. Leave one next action with an owner and a realistic due date.

Avoid a common mistake

A zero count can mean there was no activity in the previous company day. It does not prove a connection is broken. Late imports and reopened tasks can change the recap.

NEXT GUIDE

Turn one email into the next step.

A client email is often the brief, the deadline and the invoice argument, all in one message. Give it a client and a next step before you answer it.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A few specifics.

Does the recap only show my own work?

No. It shows yesterday's activity your role can see in this company. A teammate's finished task can appear if you can see that task.

Is the money figure my profit?

No. Recap totals are booked transactions for that day, with internal transfers left out and currencies kept apart. Open Statistics for the longer picture. Those figures describe recorded payments, not accounting profit.
