Step by step

  1. Open Settings → Accounts and select the upload control or drop your bank statement PDF into the upload area.
  2. Wait for the parsing status to finish. Do not upload another copy simply because the first is still processing.
  3. Check the final status: Committed means entries were booked automatically; Review means the file needs your attention.
  4. For Review, open the import and compare the extracted dates, descriptions, currency and amounts with the PDF.
  5. Choose the destination account, resolve warnings or incorrect rows, then click Commit … rows only after your review.
  6. Open Transactions, select that account and period, and inspect the newly booked entries.

Read the status before taking action

Parsing means the file is still being read. Review means attention is needed before booking. Committed means transactions are already booked. Failed means you should inspect the error and retry or replace the file as appropriate.

Review rather than repeatedly upload

Use the existing import’s view or Review link to inspect it. Check the statement period, account and balances before uploading the same file again. PDF imports work on Solo, Team and Agency.

Check the result

A committed statement should have transactions in its account. Do not manually commit an import that is already marked Committed.

Prepare the source

Use the bank’s original statement PDF where possible. Check its account, currency and full period. You need import creation access to upload and import editing access to commit reviewed rows. Account creation has a separate permission and plan capacity.

Duplicates and completion

The import tries to skip previously booked rows for the same account; it preserves repeated identical rows within a statement because they may be real separate payments. Changed descriptions or choosing another account can affect duplicate detection. Compare the committed count, statement balances and Transactions before assuming an overlapping upload added only new entries.

Leaving the page

Once the upload has completed and the import is listed, parsing runs in the background. Return to Settings → Accounts to check its status. Closing the page during the actual file upload is different: check that the import exists before starting again.

Labels use the English interface. Available pages and actions depend on your company, plan and permissions.
